About the artwork:

Astronauts have always been a symbol of excitement and adventure; of the best of the best going into the great unknown. But coupled with that, Astronauts tend to have such daunting jobs, and bouts of anxiety and fear. Astronauts are trained to be ready for anything but can face things that no other person has ever conquered before. Its that true balance of greatness and vulnerability that draws me to them.

About Jappy Agoncillo:

Jappy Agoncillo is an Illustrator & Muralist known for his dynamic and colorful visual style. He likes to approach each piece he makes as if he is to tell a story, whether it be on a page or on a wall - resulting in highly detailed, illustrative, and energetic work that might as well have been in a comic book. Jappy believes in bringing color and energy to anwhere his work can be seen, wanting to get lost in the details, easter eggs, colors, and craziness of his work. He has painted murals and street art in Manila, Los Angeles, New York, and Mumbai. Some of his recent past clients include: Johnnie Walker, Shake Shack, Adidas PH, Heineken, Amazon, Zig, The Hundreds, Ligo Sardines, Coco Milk Tea, Kipling, Boohoo Man, Kumu, Bratpack, SM, Ayala, and Robinsons.

He recently had his first Solo Exhibit in Manila in March, a two-man exhibit in Brooklyn in August, as well as completed a Summer Illustration Residency program at the School of Visual Arts in New York in July.
