About the artwork:
It’s not that you mean to injure yourself by laying out your best and most
vulnerable parts. Nobody walks into love not knowing the risk, it’s just that
you can’t help it. You’re humanly honest that even the pain of exposure is
cathartic to a degree.

About Drixkie Palumar:
Laguna-based artist: Slightly awkward, mostly eager to learn. Mom on significant occasions, responder at night and always a dreamer. Drixkie hopes to bring the viewers’ attention to the topic of vulnerability and emotionality.
With the female figure as muse, watercolor represents emotions: there’s a necessity for control and yet there’s a demand for release. In this way, she hopes to help the viewer look inward and find peace in being human.
