About the artwork:

Inspired by the saying, “home is where your heart is”, this artwork shows how our pets ultimately become our homes. In their own ways, our pets provide a sense of comfort and joy that make us feel like the most special people on the planet. Just as what a home feels like, they make us feel secure and loved on any kind of day.

About Jill Arteche:

Jill Arteche is a visual artist, illustrator, and designer based in Manila, Philippines. After two years, Jill has left the advertising industry to pursue art and illustration as a full-time career. Just recently, she has also completed her residency in Illustration and Visual Storytelling at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Her body of work focuses on depicting everyday experiences with her own touch of humor. Through the comically grotesque, she depicts her sense of beauty that celebrates the mundane and unattractive. Her distinctive style has allowed her to work with local and international clients such as San Miguel Light, The Philippine Star, Adobo Magazine, Rogue, Adarna House, Power Mac Center, WeTransfer and Zimbio. Her works have also been exhibited at the Ayala Museum, Globe Art Gallery, Pineapple Lab and at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub in Japan.
